Museum of early lakeside pile settlements

Right next to the lake, the historical lake settlement Pfahlbau-museum in Unteruhldingen has been one of the cultural highlights of the region for 93 years. With its 23 reconstructed houses, it is one of the largest open-air museums in Europe. Visitors can enter the world of the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods across the wooden walkways. Originals and replicas of archaeological finds from seven World Heritage sites make the long sunken past visible. For information Telephone: +49 (0) 7556 928900 Open daily.
